Sweet Dumplings!

Well, it looks like dumpling festival season is upon us! We’ve already served the food of the people, to the people at the Seattle Beer and Bacon Classic and the opening gala for SIFF. Folk Life and Sasquatch are creeping around the corner, then it’s Fremont Solstice and so on through the summer. We love nothing more than getting right in the action of a fun festival and giving you all what you want: delicious dumplings!  Our mobile cooking unit has been prepping for this season and is in tip top shape. Our on-site cooking staff are amped up and ready to roll. And, best of all, our dumpling research and development team has been hard at work on apple cinnamon dessert dumplings, so you are in for an extra treat this year. Our discerning tasters absolutely LOVED them, so we know you will, too. Filled with fresh apples cooked in brown sugar and butter, they are also wrapped in our traditional egg-flour-milk dumpling dough. This dough we chose for its ability to fry up with a crisp and golden crust, just like our favorite parts of apple pie. The sweet and tasty morsels are then topped with a granola based cobbler-like topping and a vanilla cream sauce, just to give you even more incentive to dive in. As if you needed it. Our goal is to debut these gorgeous and delectable treats at the Folk Life Festival at Seattle Center over Memorial Day weekend and offer them at our other festival booths. We can’t wait for you to try them!
