Fremont Oktoberfest

Summer might be over (sad face), but that doesn’t mean the good times are over in Fremont! This weekend, Fremont Oktoberfest kicks off a rowdy good time complete with drinking beer in the streets, tons of food, music and entertainment. Keep in mind that this event is 21+ except Sunday, where minors are allowed if accompanied by an adult

Starting on Friday, there will be over 100 seasonal brews available at Oktoberfest. Just buy some tokens, bring your mini mug to the vendor you’ve been dreaming of and get a taste of beer heaven. The lineup of microbrews this year looks fantastic, including Black Market Brewing Co (Temecula, CA), Franziskaner (Munchen, DE) as well as local favourites such as Hales Ales and Elysian Brewing Co. No matter what your tastebuds are craving, Oktoberfest will have a brew for you.

Of course, nothing pairs better with a delicious ale or IPA than dumplings! We’ll be there to fill up your bellies so you can taste as much beer as possible without passing out in the bushes. Then once you’re fueled up, starting on Friday night, you can bust a move to DJ Mullet’s tunes then cheer on the Miss Buxom contest at 8:30pm and then keep the weekend going with Saturday evening’s dance party set to the soundtrack of DJ Joey Webb’s repertoire.

But make sure not to miss Dogtoberfests’ Cover Dog Model event on Sunday- which promises to be a great time for all dog lovers. There’s also Street Scramble for the whole family, a Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving contest and of course, beer. So stop wondering what you’re going to do this weekend, get up off the couch and come down to Fremont to celebrate… well, beer!
