Pel Meni Dumpling Tzar does Fremont Solstice 2016!

Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Well, the annual Fremont Solstice is happening in the center of the universe on June 17th- June 19th!

The festival kicks off on Friday night with a free concert featuring Human Ladder, Locomotive, Rust on the Rails and The Helio Sequence closing out the night from 9:30- 11pm. Once you’ve satisfied your live music craving, stumble over to our Fremont location for some fresh, delicious dumplings. We’ll be open until 2:30AM and we’ll make sure you’re well fed and dumpling-drunk (the euphoria which occurs from eating one or more bowls of dumplings) before you head home to sleep!

But that’s not all! The high point of the festival is the parade on Saturday, combined with tons of live music (on two stages!), art cars, a dog parade and more. Yes, I said a dog parade, and it’s exactly as cute and ridiculously awesome as you are imagining- you could even dress up your pooch and register them in the parade. Once you’re down here checking out all the excitement, make sure you stop by Dumpling Tzar to refuel your energy levels in the form of dumplings or grab a salad to go!

Saturday evening features performances by Vaudeville Etiquette, Longstride and Hey Marseilles close out the Redhook Main Stage from 9:30-11PM. You can always head over to the High Dive to get your dance on until the wee hours of the morning after the festivities end- then come see us! As always, we are open until 2:30AM and if you thought your sober self couldn’t love our dumplings any more, just wait until your buzzed self gets a taste! Sunday will feature even more music and fun as well.

We are super excited to see everyone celebrate the beginning of the summer with the best festival in Fremont! Here are some tips from our staff to help you navigate this year’s festival;

Pro Tips for Surviving the Crowds at Fremont Solstice
Don’t drive to Fremont! We recommend taking public transit to the festival since the roads are closed and there is only limited parking.
Stay hydrated! Make sure you bring a water bottle with you that you can refill at local businesses for free.
Get here early to get a good spot for the parade! A lot of people come to enjoy the festival, so make sure you get down here early and claim a spot to watch the parade.
Eat at Pel Meni Dumpling Tzar! Because it’s delicious.
