Dumplings for Independence Day!

This upcoming weekend, Seattlelites will be out enjoying July 4th long weekend festivities with their families and friends. At Pel Meni Dumpling Tzar, we will be celebrating while serving up dumplings during our usual hours (11am-2:30am) in Fremont and Capitol Hill. Nothing fuels a day of fun and fireworks like some fresh cucumber salad and Nutella dessert dumplings!

If you need a little help figuring out what’s happening, we are here as always to help you out!

  • In Fremont, the weekend starts out with the monthly Art Walk starting at 6pm. Local artists will be showing their works on the walls of local businesses, including our Fremont Dumpling Tzar! This month our walls will be displaying the paintings of Anastasia Rudenco, who will be present to answer questions and share her vision.
  • From Saturday to Monday, the Lake Union Wooden Boat festival is taking place at Lake Union park. As their website states; “There’s nothing stuffy about the wooden boat festival. This is an old-fashioned, down-home waterfront event where everything is fun and most things are free.” You can check out their website for more info: http://cwb.org/events/festival/
  • In Capitol Hill, the July 4th Community Parade runs along 8th Street, SE, between I Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. There is also a picnic at Cal Anderson park includes a pie eating contest and free live music.
  • And of course the main event- fireworks! Head over to Gasworks park on Monday for the live music, family friendly games, beer garden in the afternoon and then fireworks begin at 10:20pm. This yearly display of beautiful explosives never fails to impress and inspire awe!

And once the smoke settles, head over just a few blocks to our Fremont location for some dumplings before heading home. We hope everyone enjoys their long weekends and the July 4th activities around our beautiful city.
